Video: How to Mark a Household as a Prospect

Video Transcript

Welcome. This video will walk you through how to set up a household as a prospect in Income Lab. Now, in income lab, you can identify certain households

0:09 as households or clients or certain households who are in an early relationship with you and may just be viewed as prospects. This becomes more

0:17 important as you go into Penny and start analyzing households in the practice intelligence section. To begin, find a household on your main dashboard.

0:26 There's two ways you can mark them as a prospect.

0:30 First, you can click the three dot icon here and then go into your household info. Or if you're inside the household,

0:37 you'll find the household info button in the top left of your screen. Once you're on the household info page, you'll see

0:44 the prospect button right under the household name. Click prospect and then click save.

0:50 This is an easy way to mark this specific household as a prospect. So, if we go back to our main households, we can click ask Penny. Then once we're

0:59 inside Penny, we can click practice intelligence. On the practice intelligence page, you can search across all your households. This is a great way to uncover planning opportunities,

1:09 information about specific households who may be a perfect opportunity for talking to about Roth conversions,

1:14 employer plans, anything you can really imagine that you may want to search across your households. But here's where inside the practice intelligence page,

1:22 you can select whether you want this search to apply to all your income lab households or to just your income lab prospects. So here, now that we have the

1:30 mark as a prospect, if we have this prospects button checked on, we can search inside this practice intelligence here and surface that information for all of our prospects. For example,

1:40 that's it. Thank you for watching this video. Please reach out to our team if you have any questions.
